The abstractor performs a search of recorded documents in the public records of the parish/county where the land is located. The abstract is reviewed by an attorney or other experienced title examiner to determine the status of title.

Title Work provides the name of the vested owner of the property, situs address, valid dates, legal description of property, all open recorded liens or known liens (including voluntary and involuntary) for the current vested owner, property tax status, property assessed value, and completed chain of assignment information.
